Having been born in Miami, FL in the 80s Vacation Inc. had my name written all over it, and boy did I have fun writing social posts in their uniquely iconic leisure-infused retro-fantasy comedic brand. Yes, the long-winded paragraphs written below are actual social captions, and yes that’s the point.

Pictured here, Vacation® employees and loved ones gather around our Luau buffet table for a successful night of “Supper Under the Stars” to celebrate the launch of our new SPF50 version of Vacation® Classic Lotion and Classic Spray. Hosted by Rusty Pelican on the Waterfront in Key Biscayne, guests were treated to a feast for the eyes, and their bellies, with an assortment of tropical delights from Hawaiian pineapple chicken satay skewers to an incredible show-stopping cornucopia centerpiece made out of serrano ham.
It wasn’t until around the guests' second helping of cocktail umbrella-laden fare when the night was interrupted by some unexpected and unsightly weather—risks you have to take when planning an outdoor soirée. The party was quickly moved inside to the Commodore’s Lounge, and everyone did their part to help bring the food and decor in from the rain. Always the life of the party, Head of Outdoor Engagement and Wellness Director Chip Calhoun lightened the mood with an impromptu conga line—a Vacation® crowd favorite.
With all things considered, you can leave it to the Vacation® Brand family to never let an opportunity go uncelebrated. Thank you to all who participated in last night's festivities, and congratulations to those who were involved in launching Vacation® Classic Lotion and Classic Spray SPF50. We’re truly proud of your accomplishments.

And they're off! This photo was taken shortly before Doug and Nance Zambrano hit the sun-drenched asphalt on their second leg of the annual Vacation® "Motor-marathon to Marathon". Spanning one hour from Key Largo to Marathon Key-the Zambrano's stopped in Islamorada to refuel their Yamaha Townmate and correct an unfortunate wardrobe mishap.
Earlier that morning an absent-minded Doug threw on his new Key Biscayne Yacht Club polo he received as a bonus gift for referring newly accepted members Sue and Mark Sibley. Much to both their dismay, however, Doug seemed to have forgotten to check the shirts label which they later discovered was made of 100% polyester- a major allergy for his wife. It wasn't until they passed mile marker 88 that Nance began to scratch vigorously at her skin, prompting them to pull over.
They immediately discarded the shirt and raced on toward the finish line at Sunset Grille & Raw Bar. Surprisingly, even with the delay, they placed fourth out of ten.

Upon arrival, the guests were greeted with a rum-infused original cocktail in fresh coconuts-donated by Salazar's Marketplace. Each coconut cocktail contained a number carved into its flesh, which corresponded to their new love-match's number. After some confusion deciphering between sixes and nines, the guests coupled off for games and challenges. Fauxmance filled the air, and a considerable amount of funds were raised. A great night for lovers, and marine mammals.
